Near Space Experiments Weather Balloon Launch

On Saturday morning, April 18th, Flight and Space students from Northwood, physics students from Whitworth, and 6th graders from Mr. Bontrager's class will launch a weather balloon with their experiments tethered to it. The launch will take place at 10 a.m. at Omache Field at Whitworth University. Everyone is welcome. After the launch, we will track and recover the pods and analyze the data. 8th Grade Job Shadow Experience

Northwood’s 8th Grade Class will be participating in a Job Shadow Experience on
Thursday, May 7th. Your son/daughter and you will be choosing, contacting, and making arrangements for a job shadow experience on May 7th. On Job Shadow day, teachers will be visiting your kids at their “job” sites around the city, taking pictures, and creating an environmental cleanup worksite at Northwood for those kids who choose not to participate. The day after Job Shadow day, we’ll be hearing about the discoveries made on our student’s foray into the world of work. Congratulations to the Northwood Jazz Band I and Jazz Band II

Congratulations to the Northwood Jazz Band I and Jazz Band II for their outstanding performances at the Jazz Northwest Jazz Festival @ Mead HS Saturday March 21st, 2015. Northwood’s Jazz Band I received First Place for the Middle School Division.

The band is under the direction of Mr. Brian Comstock. GREAT JOB Northwood Jazz BANDS!!!
